Meet Tucker Daniels
Joseph “Tucker” Daniels is a Marine Corps veteran, experienced leader, business owner, and longtime Lafourche Parish professional running for Justice of the Peace.
Tucker served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, where he worked as a Correctional Specialist responsible for supervising and evaluating more than 25 personnel daily. He managed educational and training programs, handled confidential information, supervised personnel, and was trained to de-escalate difficult and potentially hostile situations. His military service developed the discipline, leadership, judgment, and ability to make difficult decisions under pressure that he brings to his campaign for Justice of the Peace.
Tucker has built extensive professional experience in the oil and gas industry, working in production and operations and managing complex equipment, procedures, documentation, and safety requirements. Tucker is also the owner of JDaniels Property Group, adding entrepreneurship and property-management experience to his professional background.
Tucker holds two bachelor’s degrees and an associate degree from Nicholls State University, including a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, as well as degrees in Petroleum Services and Safety Technology. His education provides a strong foundation in government, policy, operations, and safety.
His commitment to service extends beyond his professional career. Tucker served as a CASA Advocate in Lafourche Parish, advocating for children and families in his community.
Tucker is seeking the office of Justice of the Peace because he believes the people of Lafourche Parish deserve a professional, impartial, prepared, and accountable Justice of the Peace who will take the responsibilities of the office seriously.
His background in military leadership, government and political science, professional operations, business, and community service has prepared him to hear disputes, apply the law, make impartial decisions, and serve the people of his community.

One of the ways I learned the importance of justice was through my own daughter, Ivy. Seeing her experience unfairness firsthand showed me how important it is to have someone willing to listen, advocate, and fight for what is right.
That experience helped lead to The Ivy Daniels Act, which strengthens protections against the misuse of AI-generated images.
